Assimilated specific competences:

Highlighting the economic and spatial peripherality phenomenon within the EU regions and applying case studies which will
provide a more relevant, in-depth conducted study of the many facets of this phenomenon;

Understanding the impact of human capital in fostering the resilience capacity of a country;
-
Obtaining results regarding the role of institutional resilience in the development process;
-
A better understanding of the macroeconomic and structural dynamics that the EU Member States registered as a result of
participation in the integration process (regional disparities ante- and after-integration).
Specific objectives of the course:

Ensuring an interdisciplinary nature of the discipline which to combine regional economics with the institutional economy;

Analysing the the core-periphery phenomenon within the European Union;
-
Analysing various socio-economic indicators, spatial/accessibility indicators related to resilience matters in order to identify
ways for the improvement of the regional policies.
