Centre for European Studies

The Centre for European Studies is an interdisciplinary department within the Faculty of Law at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași, Romania. Its work connects European studies, regional development and international relations through education, research and academic exchange.

Located near the European Union’s eastern border, the Centre has a particular interest in the EU’s Eastern neighbourhood, cross-border cooperation and the development of regions and cities.

Our activities include master’s programmes, continuing education, research projects, academic publications and events. We bring together expertise from economics, law, history, political science and geography to examine European transformations.
