Project team

Gabriela Carmen Pascariu

Professor at the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi (UAIC) with more than 20 years of teaching and research experience; holder of the Jean Monnet Chair in Economics and Politics of the European Integration and the academic coordinator of the Centre for Excellence in European Studies; manager of the Centre for European Studies (CES) and coordinator of the Centre for European Documentation. She has organized several national and international conferences, coordinated 14 training and research projects and managed the interdisciplinary programme of European Studies Master.  She is Team Europe expert and member of the National Council for the Recognition of the academic Degrees, Diplomas and Certificates (CNATDCU), which is a national body entitled to award academic and doctoral degrees. Within the project she plays the role of chair holder, academic professor and coordinator of lectures and seminars, with 146 lectures, seminars and training teaching hours. Moreover, she will ensure the coordination of the research programme proposed by the Chair and made by the collaborators of the Chair; she will coordinate the organization of events, the carrying out of activities and partnerships necessary for the fulfillment of the Chair objectives.

Ramona Frunză (Ţigănaşu)

Ph.D. researcher in the field of European integration at the CES, UAIC. She is actively involved in several national and international research projects and she has published over 40 studies focusing on the analysis of the regional development in EU, institutional economics and neighbourhood issues. Throughout her academic activity she has been involved in the organisation of over 20 national and international scientific events (conferences, workshops, round tables etc). She has 7 years of experience in the field of research in the economic aspects of the European integration process and 3 years of experience as graduation programmes lecturer. Within the programme she will teach master courses (complementary to the teaching activity of the chair holder, within a course coordinated by the latter), she will be a member of the Chair research staff (participating in doing the research, in disseminating the results at international conferences and in publishing) and of the Commissions for guiding the doctoral research for the two doctoral students that will be involved in the research programme within the Chair. She will also be responsible for organizing some of the events.

Lucian Dumitru Dirdală

Lecturer at the CES, UAIC, as well as a lecturer at Mihail Kogălniceanu University (Iaşi). He holds a M.A in International Relations and European Studies (Central European University - Budapest) and a Ph.D. in Political Science (UAIC). His main fields of research are: Democratic Theory, Comparative Politics, International Relations, EU Politics. At UAIC, he currently teaches "EU Foreign Affairs", "EU foreign, security, and defence policies", "The democratic process in the EU" at the Centre of European Studies (M.A. programme), "Basic Concepts in Political Science" at the Department of Journalism and Communication Studies (under-graduate level). He was included in the academic team that delivers courses at the State University of Moldova, Chişinău in the Center for Excellence in European Studies, and he is a member of the scientific board at several academic  journals and publishing houses. In the project he will be responsable teacher for a new course for the students within the Master in European Studies, in association with Teodor Lucian Moga (European Union in the international relations system), he will take part from reasearch team on the topics of EU's Eastern neighbourhood, and he will coordinate some scientific events.

Teodor Lucian Moga

Lecturer at the CES, UAIC and a former post-doctoral researcher at the Romanian Academy (Iaşi Branch). He holds a Ph.D. in Economics and International Relations. His main academic fields of interest are the EU politics & economics, EU integration, European Neighbourhood Policy, EU foreign and security policy. He pursued relevant research and teaching stints at the European Commission, the British Embassy Bucharest, the European Union Institute for Security Studies, Paris and the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies. As far as his didactic activities concern, he has teaching experience as teaching assistant for the seminar activities. He has also participated in the programme of the Centre for Excellence JM. Since 2010 he has been part of an academic team which annually delivers lectures on "Romania and Moldova in the regional context: political, economic and security aspects" in Chisinau, Moldova, at the State University of Moldova. Within the project he will teach some master lectures (complementary to the teaching activity of the chair holder), will be a member of the Chair research team (participating in doing the research, in disseminating the results at international conferences and in publishing) and will be responsible for organizing academic events.

 

Ludmila Coada

Associate Professor at the Free International University of Moldova and Researcher at the Institute of History and Political Science. Her areas of interest include Moldova's foreign policy, Moldova's relations with Russia and the EU. He was awarded numerous prestigious fellowships, including Fulbright Program (conducting research at the George Washington University in 2010-2011), and has coordinated different projects on history research, education, and foreign policy analysis. She is an experienced professional in terms of teaching, researching, managing projects, and coordinating various activities. She has strong organizational skills, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and to adapt to different - including multicultural - environments. Within the project she will be involved in teaching, research and dissemination activities.

Constantin Iordache
Professor at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Iasi and and a cardiovascular specialist . Within the project he will be involved in teaching, research and dissemination activities (Health in the European Union. Strategies and policies in the health field).
Xenia Patraș Professor at Apollonia University of Iasi, specialist in pharmacology, algeoziology and pharmacogenetics. Within the project she will be involved in teaching, research and dissemination activities (Health in the European Union. Strategies and policies in the health field).
